APS Lawn Bowling Competition

 Are you a lawn bowler who lives in Melbourne? Or would you like to learn the sport of lawn bowls? We are looking for lawn bowlers of any age who are in and around Melbourne, to bowl on a Wednesday in Hawthorn, starting at 11.00am in an APS past students' bowling competition. This program will start in October, and run through until March 2023 when there is an all day game of 12 players per team at Glen Waverley, taking on all of the private schools. A great day of fun, challenge, and friendships. This year the cost was just $10 for the day with sandwiches and scones included. Some opposing teams during the year on Wednesday's are from Scotch, Melbourne Grammar, Wesley and Caulfield Grammar, comprising old school friends and parents who support their school. It is hoped that we can form a group of at least 20 lawn bowlers, plus beginners, from both Geelong College and Geelong Grammar. If you are at all interested to join this fun program of beating our Melbourne old school chums, with their friends, then please make contact with your name, address, and if you are a bowler, or would like to learn the art of bowling, and join in the laughter and the fun to be had on a Wednesday afternoon.
